Fitspin is a wardrobe app. It’s built so that almost everything stays on your phone. This page says exactly what leaves it, why, and where it goes.
What stays on your phone
Your wardrobe, the photos and cut-outs of your clothes, your outfits and calendar, your routines, trips and the answers you gave when you started. Fitspin doesn’t upload these anywhere unless you use one of the features below.
AI features — only when you use them
Fitspin asks before the first photo is ever sent. When you use an AI feature, the photo it needs is sent to Fitspin’s server and on to the service that does the work:
- Try-on (an outfit drawn on a person): the person’s photo and the clothes go to our model running on Modal.
- Lifting a garment off a photo of someone wearing it: that photo goes to our model running on Modal.
- Polish (a clean product photo of a piece): the garment photo goes to KIE.ai, which runs the image model.
Fitspin’s server doesn’t store these photos; it passes them on and returns the result to your phone. KIE.ai may keep an uploaded file for a short time to process it. Don’t send photos of other people without their permission. You can turn AI features off at any time in Settings › Privacy.
Prices you ask us to watch
When you save a product link to your wishlist, the link, the product’s name and price, and a random identifier for your install are sent to our server so it can check the price and tell you when it drops. Some shops are read through Apify. Delete the item and the watch is removed.
Your account (optional)
You don’t need an account. If you sign in (with Apple or Google), Google Firebase Authentication handles the sign-in and we keep your name, email, a user id and when you last opened the app, so purchased credits survive a reinstall. We send a welcome email, an email when you delete your account, a short reminder if you haven’t opened Fitspin for two weeks or a month, and, when a price you’re watching drops, at most one price email a day, all through Brevo. Every price email has a link to stop them. Deleting your account in Settings removes this data.
Usage statistics
To learn which parts of Fitspin help and where people get stuck, the app sends anonymous usage events to PostHog: things like “finished onboarding”, “opened the paywall”, “logged an outfit”, with counts and the options you picked. These never include your photos, item names, notes or anything you type. If you’re signed in they’re tied to your user id. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Share usage stats.
Feedback
When you send feedback from Settings, we keep your message, the email you give (if any), the app version and your device model, and email them to our support inbox, so we can reply and fix bugs.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple. We receive a signed record of what was bought (never your card details) to add credits or Premium to your account.
Weather
To suggest outfits for the weather, your approximate location is used to fetch a forecast from Apple Weather or MET Norway. It isn’t stored by us.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, a technical report (device model, app version, what went wrong) is sent to Sentry so we can fix it. It doesn’t include your photos or wardrobe.
What we never do
We don’t sell your data, show ads, or use your photos to train AI models.
Children
Fitspin isn’t directed at children under 13.
Your choices
Turn AI features or usage statistics off in Settings › Privacy, delete individual items, erase all data in Settings, or delete your account. For anything else, or to ask what we hold about you, contact fitspin@nextarcstudio.com.
